i'm with you...never cared for gilbert. i'm NEVER dissapointed when she tells him no...especially when he responds by wishing a broken heart on her! disgrace!
Ok girls, seriously, maybe Gil wasn't my favorite person in the movie, but when's he lying sick with scarlet fever and he says "there's no one for me but you Anne" you can't help but melt!

so, tam, i'm not sure my feelings toward gilbert are quite as strong as yours... for instance, when she says 'no' i definitely feel sorry for the poor guy, though i definitely think she should have since she obviously wasn't ready for marriage. however his response in the barn is definitely too harsh!
and bekah, by the end of the movie i'm always rooting for him. i'm not completely heartless :)
i wish i was melting...usually, i'm thinking, get that boy a tan and i bet that room smells from all his sweat. wow, i really am starting to feel the need for therapy! what's my deal?!

I just came back and read all the comments about Gil. I am deeply disappointed in you and Tami. Seriously!! I LOVE GIL!! My heart breaks when Anne rejected him. I can't believe you guys don't like Gil!!!! He pretty much makes the movie. I could get emotional just thinking about it!
I'm late but I'm with you Sarah! Girls - you should be ashamed of yourselves!! :) "I don't want sunbursts or marble halls - I just want you!" sigh...
